The Community Empowerment Council proudly joined schools, youth groups, and community partners across multiple counties to celebrate Red Ribbon Week 2025, the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention awareness campaign. Throughout the week, students and families participated in activities that encouraged healthy choices, built resilience, and reinforced the importance of living drug-free.
CEC supported Red Ribbon events in several communities by providing prevention materials, interactive activities, and age-appropriate messaging that helped spark meaningful conversations among youth. Schools incorporated spirit days, assemblies, classroom lessons, and student-led initiatives that empowered young people to take an active role in creating safer, healthier environments.
Youth leaders played an especially important part this year. Their enthusiasm and creativity helped bring prevention messages to life—showing their peers that choosing to remain drug-free is a powerful decision that supports long-term success. Parents and teachers also contributed by reinforcing positive norms and celebrating the commitments students made throughout the week.
Through strong community engagement, collaboration, and consistent prevention messaging across multiple counties, Red Ribbon Week continues to inspire youth to make responsible decisions and build strong foundations for their futures. CEC is grateful for every school, partner, and student who helped make this year’s celebration meaningful and impactful.
Together, we are shaping a generation that is informed, confident, and committed to living healthy, drug-free lives.
