Cleveland County Health Fair: Supporting Wellness and Community Connection

The Community Empowerment Council participated in the Cleveland County Health Fair, joining local partners, families, and community organizations for a day dedicated to promoting wellness, prevention, and healthier living. The event provided a welcoming space for residents to learn about available resources, ask questions, and connect with programs that support long-term health.

CEC staff shared prevention materials, answered questions from families, and encouraged community members to stay informed about substance-use prevention and mental health resources. Our table featured educational items, RAAD giveaways, and evidence-based prevention messaging designed to help youth and adults make safe, healthy decisions.

The health fair also offered screenings, informational booths, and hands-on activities from a wide range of partners committed to improving community well-being. It was a valuable opportunity to collaborate, meet new faces, and reinforce the importance of prevention at the local level.

CEC extends a special thank-you to Rachel M. Will and everyone who helped coordinate the event. Your dedication made the health fair a success, and we are grateful to be part of such a supportive and engaged community.

Together, we are building stronger, healthier, and more connected communities—one event at a time.
