CEC Prevention Programs is expanding prevention education for adults through Hidden in Plain Sight, an interactive training led by Tempest Alexander. The training is designed to help parents, caregivers, educators, organizations, and community members recognize vaping devices, substances, and other items associated with risky behaviors that may be concealed in ordinary objects or within a teen’s room.
The training goes beyond identifying items. Participants also learn how increased awareness can help adults recognize potential concerns earlier and create opportunities for meaningful conversations with young people. Hidden in Plain Sight encourages adults to become more informed, observant, and prepared to address prevention within their homes, schools, organizations, and communities.
The training is available at no cost for adult audiences, including schools, organizations, parent groups, and community partners interested in strengthening their knowledge of youth substance use prevention.
