The Community Empowerment Council proudly presents the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award to Apostle Christopher L. Mack, Sr. at the Be the Change Awards. This prestigious award recognizes a lifetime of leadership, faith, and transformative community service.
Apostle Christopher L. Mack, Sr. was born on January 24, 1978, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Jerry and Ruthie Cole-Mack. He was educated in the Pine Bluff School District, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1996. He then attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where he majored in Education. On June 16, 2006, he earned a Bachelor of Biblical Studies from Lake Charles Bible College in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Apostle Mack accepted his call to ministry in 1997 at Prairie Lake M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. Lee Whitaker, where he also served as Minister of Music for several years. Before stepping into full-time pastoral ministry, he built a successful career as a General Manager at Pizza Hut, where his leadership skills led his store to be ranked among the top 20 in the southern region.
Apostle Mack married his high school sweetheart, Lady Shameka Hopkins-Mack, on August 16, 1997. Together, they have been blessed with three children: Aeriel Mack-Parks (CharMarr), Alexi Mack, Christopher (C.J.) Mack Jr. (Irayana). They are also proud grandparents to Collin Parks and Claire Mack.
On February 8, 2003, God led Apostle Mack to Highland Baptist Church, where he was elected Senior Pastor. Under his leadership, the church experienced tremendous growth, culminating in the groundbreaking of a 22,000-square-foot edifice on September 26, 2010. The first service in the new building was held on March 4, 2012. His dynamic preaching and vision have led to the renewal, revival, and reconstruction of many lives.
In August 2019, Highland Missionary Baptist Church transitioned to Highland Ministries, expanding its vision for ministry. Apostle Mack is a member of In Covenant Ministries Fellowship, where Drs. Curtis and Linda Stennis serve as his covering.
Together, Apostle Christopher and Lady Shameka Mack continue to lead Highland Ministries with a vision for spiritual growth, community impact, and Kingdom advancement.
